How to use bitcoin to buy steem

I am a new member of steem, only 2 days old :-). And I am also kind of new to bitcoin, less than 1 month old. But I see the potential future of steem as you guys do. After some researches I was able to successfully deposit 1 bitcoin to steem yesterday while steem went up 33%. I hope there is a way to buy steem using US$, otherwise if bitcoin rises faster then steem, I make less money relatively. :-), but haven't found a way yet(maybe not available at all). Anyway I thought it might be helpful to newbies like me wanting to know how to buy steem using bitcoin. So here it is. Two prerequisites: 1. bitcoin account with bitcoin available 2. Steemit account of course.

Before logon bitcoin account to withdraw bitcoin, we need to know the bitcoin address to send to which we need to get from steem.

Step 1: Logon Steemit account and click buy steem

Step 2: On popup screen, enter the amount of bitcoin you want to use to buy steem. Then copy the bitcoin address to the clipboard. Make sure you select steem radio button if you want to buy steem not steem power.

Step 3: Logon your bitcoin account. This case I use bitstamp since I bought some bitcoins a couple of weeks ago. The other popular bitcoin exchange is coinbase. Once you logon your bitstamp account, you go to withdraw and paste the bitcoin address copied from step 2. It is very important to ensure the address is exactly the same as the one in the step 2 otherwise steem will have problem to receive the bitcoin.

Step 4: Click withdraw which triggers the bitstamp to send the bitcoin to the steem. Btw, bitstamp requires email confirmation to acknowledge the withdraw.

Step 5: Once email confirmation is accepted, the status is changed to waiting to be processed.

Step 6: After a few of minutes, status is changed to finished.

Step 7: Go to steemit account and click wallet to confirm bitcoin is received and converted to steem.

Step 8: Confirm bitcoin is received which has been converted to steem already. So yesterday 1 bitcoin was worth 1539 STEEM.
