I have two old photos of Box tree moth, Cydalima perspectalis.
The moth originated in Asia and it is invasive species in Europe. It is a pest, destroying box tree or Buxus sempervirens. Last couple of years the box trees in my country were attacked by that moth causing severe defoliation. Being new insect for Europe, first reported in 2006 in Germany, it spread quickly and become huge problem for the gardens and parks with box trees.
Still I saw the moth on the window and nowhere near the box tree.

That is a pretty moth with great photos of it. Too bad it does so much destruction. It would be nice if it killed mosquitoes instead of trees.
