Dragonflies have two pair of transparent wings, huge eyes and
are brightly coloured.
Over 3000 species in the world today and fossils have been
found of them dating back 325 million years ago.
I saw a few of these blue guys over the weekend as well. Gotta bring the zoom lens to catch them. I think the latin name is Libellula depressa.

Nice capture. Not many around here this year. They are such great fly eaters.
We have mostly crows, I have to go north to see them

Great shot! I have tons of them around here but I can't manage to get a picture of them. They won't hold still long enough!
Yes they score very high on the degree of difficulty... lol

Howdy sir karbon! Dragonflies are super cool, that's one thing we have alot of around here, don't see many butterflies but lots of dragonflies. That one posed for you!
