Big fly on a Spirea blossom.
I'm pretty sure it's a fly.

Then I thought maybe a wasp.
I can't tell by looking at the photo if there's a waist between the abdomen and the thorax.
This photo was taken back in June.
In my region the Spirea shrubs are blooming beautifully.
Summer is truly official when you start seeing the Butterflies and Insects in your garden.

I think it is a fly.
It is cold here and I have one onside and it attacks me. I can not stsnd flies. Still love your photo. 💕
