That is why the people who volunteered for the Bangla language in the language movement of '52, the central Shaheed Minar was built to commemorate them.

Our Central Shaheed Minar located in the premises of Dhaka Medical College.

On 21 February 1952 many of the students were martyred in indiscriminate firing on the students. On February 23, the students of Dacca Medical College built a memorial at the very beginning of their memory, which was our first Shaheed Minar.
