To many newbies and some users on steemit, the first notion is that steemit.com is the only website where you can access your details on the Steem blockchain. I also had this thinking when I first joined, but with months of exploring I got to know about other platform that can be used to access the blockchain.

Well, there are many platforms where you can perform the most basic to the most technical tasks on just like the steemit.com platform. One of those sites is Busy.org. As popular as busy.org may be , some users have not heard about it and the numerous functionalities present on the platform.

Introducing Busy.org

Busy.org is the brainchild of @fabien and @ekitcho and was founded in July 2016. According to their post here, busy is not a competitor to steemit.com but to complement and work hand in hand with the steemit team.

It is an open-source social network that can be used to access the Steem blockchain.

Features on Busy.org

This is the main selling point of busy.org platform. They have been able to incorporate virtually all the tools needed on the Steem blockchain in their website. Some of the interesting features includes

The article composer/editor

For newbies, posting via the steemit.com is like a nightmare due to them not understanding the markdown basics. This is an area busy.org has excelled, in the boxing terms it is a knockout by busy administered to steemit.com.

Instead of memorising some codes on how to italice, bold some wordings, you just need to highlight then click on any of the features you want on the editor tool bar. You can also see the total number of words and another huge feature which is the estimated minute read.

Notifications

How many of you have missed replies on your posts simply because you don't have a notification tab on steemit.com platform. For a user that interacts with other users very well, the notification feature is a must have. Interaction have been made much more easier with the notification tab on busy.org, this include live notifications too. The notifications encompasses all basic activities on the Steem blockchain ranging from Reply, mentions to downvotes.

Wallet

Another important feature is the Wallet section. You can view all your transaction history here and also live SBD and STEEM prices. You can transfer SBD and STEEM to other users here.

Other features include the upvote reward when you post via the platform. This upvote reward is subjected to you meeting a certain MVest. The busy platform do not take any percentage of your post reward when you post via the platform too.

What about sorting comments via reputation, this is great in filtering spammers comments since they mostly have low reputation thus enabling the user to read comments from top users first.

We can only thank @ekitcho and @fabien for providing us with this platform and urge them with the developers to add features like post scheduler and delegate button on the platform.
