I don't see a greater level of unity in the opposition to crypto. They are as back stabbing as those infighting within the crypto community. The main difference seems to be that those outside of the crypto community seem to still have the arrogance that they cannot be defeated despite regulators not being in agreement about how to proceed. It seems that some with political positions in government are already hodlers of crypto. They aren't all so eager to regulate it.

I still expect some more downside in all crypto's until at least early next year. Then I think we'll see sideways trading with eventual new ATH's in 2019. But 2019 will be nothing compared to what's coming in the following two years (price wise as well as social volatility). A great many changes are coming, but won't manifest until forced by the reality of the economics.

Unfortunately ego will still likely be with us for a very long time. Crypto can't cure that. But the voluntarist viewpoint that is demonstrated by the natural laws that crypto illustrates will begin to break into the public consciousness. Right now what is lacking is the understanding that statism is a mental virus that convinces many that it's OK for the state to use violence. It's a mass hallucination brought on by decades of indoctrination without any real confrontation. Everybody just accepts it as valid when it's completely wrong. Until people are made to understand their shame caused by their ignorance of philosophical principles, this dimension of ego will likely manifest negative consequences.
