It was only the last 10 minutes that he revealed...
This is a story i experienced myself.
Back in 2012, i was traveling from
S. Korea to my country, Albania,
with a transit flight to China.
Beside me there was a man
traveling in economic seats so i decided to have a conversation with him.
We had a great talk and i explained my experience from Sheraton.
I was very inspired and could never stop showing how proud i was and describing what is it like to be working
in a 5 star hotel like Sheraton.
I noticed him trying to hear more than speak
and he would rarely say his opinion.
It was only the last 10 minutes that he revealed who he was: CEO of all Lotte Hotels based in East China!
(For those who don't know,
Lotte is a huge Korean brand and hotel chain)
I was shocked!
I was there talking for an hour
about 5 star hotels and their standards,
in front of a person who knew exactly what those things were.
He learned a lot from his Rival - Sheraton and i learned nothing from him because i was too busy speaking.
After thinking about this situation i learned the most important lesson in my life.
People who are the most open minded will never stop growing and developing.
I learned that a wise person,
usually listens more than speaks.
In fact when we speak
we learn nothing. We just show to others what we already know.
But when we listen,
a brand new knowledge
opens up our eyes, ears and mind
filling us with knowledge.

It is funny that you got that from your expierence becasue i hold a thought process kind of the same. I like to act dumb and just kind of hang back in the shadows not saying to much because I have found people reveal their true intentions to people they consider inferior or dumber than them. It is kinda my way of getting them to let their guard down. Sounds kinda like what the CEO did to you. Also on a side note i see you have built up your power considerably. Very nice. Be aware that rebloging other peoples post cost you 2% vote power just like a normal upvote. Hope all is going well.
@doomsdaychassis hahhahah yeah, he caught me off guard. But that's good 'cause i learned a lot from him and that situation. Now i act seamingly the same as you explained today. He was kind of funny because as he revealed himself, he paused himself a bit checking me if i believed him and then he showed me his proffestional card accompained with his official address and contact of which i checked later on. Anyhow he was very keen on what we talked, shook my hand and wished me the best on my career. It was an unforgetful flight.

I still have to figure out how to boost it up
you only gain vote value as you gain steem power. you can power up SBD to steem and then make it steem power or just earn steem power. both are hard to do when starting out. Your other option is to put your own money in and buy some steem. I did that. You can also rent a steem power delegation from places . I have also done that. There are a lot of options but you have to have an audiance of followers to truely take advantage of it and that is just something that comes with time , hard work , and networking.
Thank you, so by what i hear, it's best to build followers numbers first. As you may see i am upgrading steem power. Actually on my posts i recently put 100% steem power when i post. Im hoping to get to 1 steem power in 10 days.
It is going to take a long time to build steem power unfortunatly . It is like a snow ball. It starts out as a single snow flake and eventually it is an avalanche. Just takes a looooong time.
I am not going to put money into it though, so that's my only option
