Community Goals. How we Define and Set Them.

in #busy9 years ago (edited)

Steemit, the land of honey filled and mindblowing articles. The land full of wonderful communities, projects and groups. A land that brings out great adventure with extreme excitement. The angelic estacy on the internet. This is the picture of a steemit user who belongs to a community.

As humans, we are automatically born into families. Within these families, we live in communities. Every community have a set standard that we come to meet and mostly develop upon. On steemit, the difference isnt much. We have communities such as #Africaunited, #ghana, #nigeria and many others. And here, the communities are our families. Today i am writing about the #Africaunited community- Community Goals and how we set them.

Its a real funny topic to discuss as there are no clear cuts over here. One thing that i know for sure that we as a community are geared towards is growth and development.

There is but one goal for a community and that is success. Infact success in all spheres of approach. In the early days when i got on board of steemit, it was like hell, and i would have easily not returned for not a handful number of steemiaans who held my hands and helped me swim in this wild ocean. And Africaunited(my community my home) would have lost one soul of growth. But because of the prescence of the #africaunited community now, newbies in africa can easily link up and the growth of both the newbie and the africa community is rest assured and progressive. As a fact development and growth is not the set goal, its a fundamental to ensure the community's success that is why we walk through steps
defined in attaining and keeping the set Goal.

First of all, engagement is the principal requirement to keep to maintain and reach your pinnacle on steemit. No community can thrive without engagement. And so, its imparactive for all the community members to interact and meet on equal grounds in order to promote growth and success. Engagement without respect is just as good as a used condom. It adds no value to the person holding it. So breeding respect in a community is a priority to maintain order and success

If i were to start a new community, the first thing i will be requiring is quality content. Indeed, we are all not writers but we all can write. To me, a quality content is not one with lots of big upvotes but its any article which aims at establishing a fact in a clear indisputable manner formatted decently to bring aesthetic beauty to the whole work. We so many articles of that nature in your community, you are actually fulfilled with the content you get to read each day that the dollar value attached to the upvote doesnt really matter anymore. @surpassinggoogle once said, "success in steemit is not necessarily in monetary value but it can be in several forms such as engagement, accomplishment, relieve and many more others." It is indeed important to create good contents in our communities to ensure the success.

We can not let go the fact that support is the pillar of progress. When you start building a house, you realize that you need a foundation before you can erect your building. Your building is basically as strong as your foundation. If you have a shallow foundation, your building is easy to collapse. The same is true for community building, we need a good foundation as a support system in order to thrive and move mountains. Its indeed great to have a backbone so strong as a family system on steemit to support you to become a legend. Remember, nobody was born great, ordinary people are groomed to be great.

With #AfricaUnited as the locus of this article, the success of this big community started by @dragonslayer109 lies on the shoulders of everyone and we all have said duties to perform. Lets do it all together and build the success we are thirsting for. Thank you all for reading this piece. There is greatness within you.

Let it out. Till next time, Bye Bye.

@surpassinggoogle once said, "success in steemit is not necessarily in monetary value but it can be in several forms such as engagement, accomplishment, relieve and many more others."

yes! and as a rational human being you need to influence and add value to your community in which you find yourself. @ackza, @dragonslayer109, @tytran , @mcsamm, @kwakumax will need to see this. They will be very proud of this great piece from their own.

Keep spreading steemit from your college cos you are doing a huge service to mankind. I am very proud of you my fellow compatriot.

I like your little analogy of "The angelic ecstasy on the internet". I also hope that you get a lot of people to join up. Now I need to look for communities that I think I should be in. I didn't know it was such a thing.
