After all of the bickering if this cheato does not get impeached then its going to be epic. I keep hearing that today is the day! But I am expecting that literally nothing is going to happen and its going to result in tons of screeching.
Its good though, its healthy to screech, after awhile there will be more people who are forced to snap out of npc mode and realize that their actions have unintended results. Anyway, even if he is impeached it wont matter, honestly he is decimating the polls right now on all fronts.
Pretty much as I predicted 4 years ago.
Only the house has moved forward with impeachment. The Senate still needs to vote on it, and with the Republicans controlling the Senate the odds of that happening are not likely.

But the Senate is the one that tries him on the articles of impeachment. They need a 2/3 vote on each count. The current Senate is 53 Republican, 45 Democrat, 2 independent. I've heard rumblings of Democratic Representatives threatened with primaries if they didn't fall in line on the articles of impeachment, it wouldn't be out of the question for the GOP to threaten the same of their senators. Democrats would need at least 15 senators to cross party lines to convict and remove the president. Realistically, I don't see that happening.
Remember, Clinton was impeached by the house but acquitted by the Senate. Impeachment is only one step in a larger process.

I remember this, Clinton got away with everything scot-free back in the day. Support for him grew actually because everyone was mad at the republicans for being dumb asses.
