The technology has evolved, but we haven't yet. The poisons of the real world are seeping into the blockchain space and I'm not sure there is much we can do about that.

So...until there is a spiritual evolution of sorts at the individual level, things will chug along the current path, unfortunately.

EDIT: Gopi Krishna, an Indian pandit and philosopher, said this in one of his books:

"So what we have in mordern times is a disproportionate human being, a giant of the intellect, on the one hand, and a pygmy of moral or spiritual growth. This disproportion is at the base of the present threatening situation of the world."
