That is true. When the other developments are factored in, we can see that. I will say early adopters hold a strong advantage over the ones who will come later. They will have opportunities, it will just be different from what the early ones were able to enjoy.
Most normies cant even enjoy the current state of steem.
Because understanding is work.
But that's also no problem, cuz steem will evolve to self-explaining. Especially through POB ;)
