Apostille. What is it and what is it for?

in #busy6 years ago

Apostille is a special international seal. This seal is a confirmation that your document is legal. Such a seal is placed on the originals of documents, and if necessary on copies of these documents (provided that the copy is notarized by a notary).

Apostille is needed only for those countries that have acceded to the treaty of the Hague Convention.

What documents require apostille?

  • documents that were issued by the prosecutor's office, the judiciary, and the justice authorities.
  • marriage certificate, certificate of divorce, birth certificate, death certificate.
  • copies of documents that have been certified by a notary, for example: work record book, passport data, military tickets, permission to carry weapons
  • document on education: certificate of graduation 9 or 11 class, documents that confirm the degree (diplomas, certificates of candidates, doctors of sciences, bachelors, excerpts from the archives of the university)

Apostille can be put in the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Apostille is a rectangular seal. There are a number of items in this press and an obligatory mention of the Convention.

I would like to clarify for the unaware that you do not have to use expensive notary services for this. You can use the free service https://notary.pandadoc.com/online-notarization-california/ to quickly notarize the required number of documents. It is a simple and easy platform that anyone can use. This service has already saved me a lot of time and money and I advise you to keep this site as well.
