Any fan of Marvel Comics will hear the name of Mystic. Mystic was a mutant who could change his appearance. The purpose of this project was to create a robot like that of Mystic, which can change its shape based on the given work.

The key part of this robot is that there are several replaceable tires (machine guns with the upper part of the military vehicle). These tirats make robots like mystique. Various features, including: general cameras, infra-red cameras, thermal images, ground-piercing radars, or machine guns can be combined with the tires.

Mystic can also be used for rescue or military surveillance.

Design

According to Mystic's work type, it is light, transportable, small in size, but strong at the same time and it is noticed that the tires can be changed quickly without any trouble. Mystic has been a lot like a tank. Light wood has been used for chassis. The prototype chassis was 2.5 × 1.5 feet in size and weighing 15 kg.

Replaceable tiretes make robots suitable for many complex tasks in real life. Robot operator can use any one of the tires according to his own needs. With the help of only a few nuts-bolts, it is possible to put the robots together with the original robot and make robots suitable for various purposes.

Raw materials and budget

The initial budget for the robot was 10,000 rupees. The materials obtained from the local market as raw material for financial constraints have been used in Misti.

The stainless steel channel is used for robot chassis. The robot body was made of wood. The robot was used by bicycle-chain chains and sprockets. Most of Mystic work was done in BUET Machine Shop, BUET Welding Shop and BUET Carpentry Shops.

The 12-volt DC battery was used in Misty as a source of robot power, which is easily replaceable.

For the robot, the members of the command and control software team were created. Arduino has been used as a control unit. It helps the operator maintain complete control over robots and simultaneously directs the video and other signals through the sensors and cameras connected to the tirt. Misti has been created with the help of the Ex-Bee module, which is a data transmission system that is completely wireless and is compatible with any contemporary communication technology.

Practical application

Mystic can be used for military surveillance and inspection. The members of the group are thinking of using Mystic as a result of the recent rescue and death of several rescue workers in Savar. Mystic use in rescue operations can reduce the risk of many rescue workers. In this regard,

• Infra-red / thermal images can detect the injured / survivor of the turtle in the dark.

• Mystic can be used to reach food / water to the wounded person.

• Mystic webcam helps a rescuer to see any obstacles in front of him.

In a word, Mystic can be used in all areas for both remote and at risk.

Future plan

Along with working on the tank trade, the members of Mystic are trying to make Chassis a bit more lighter and stronger. They also have plans to make mystic as amphibians.
