POEM: ORBIT SUBVERSION
Those at a distant orbit
say the planet shimmers
like sands mating, in heat
the surface shines
and glimmers
Those at the median orbit
say the planet's grit
is a source of envy gold
lusts for friction
Those at the surface say
If a day is worn
a tear is a distraction
in your mind
The distraction in a day
from the life on this planet
rubs all the imperfections away
Is it foolish to rule?
or to add a burden
to children yearning to be free
Not free from consequence
but free to pursue
the good in their reality
Is it foolish to impose?
or choose a path
or suppose that one
is incapable of making their mind
Bend the laws of logic
in the tragic teeth
and ends become a lesson
a time-bound book
Is imposing rules
a sign of fear?
a sign that the tide
which rolls on its own volition
will come on an unexpected side

It is just questions about authority.
another great and excellent poem.
Awesome! I love the multiple perspectives when viewing the same object. The implied metaphor has endless possibilities that can be applied to daily struggles.
was completely in a different horizons while reading this so beautifully written poem :)
