POEM: BUMBLED HOURS
Distant mumbles
approaching the fluff
Like the bumblebee
we murmur and chime
Buzz when we gather
energy and shine
Light grips our legs
and honey unwinds
You little dew gather
up your angles
Watch us move with
our thimbled weight
Black bands march on
yellow split streets
Attuned to our news there's still
food to eat
We used to spend
afternoons in the forest
looking for the path
that others beat for us
We used to walk
to our quaint town center
where the locals gathered
to dine and slither
Now we have less
time in our purse
changing days for hours
what we have is rehearsed
Now we make more
with the pebbles, precious
is time together
never forsaken
