KillerPix📷Contest # 35 ~ Red Sand Erosion by Water
These contests are curated and sponsored by @killerwhale
Natural sand, the sand that comes from mountains, rivers, sea sand, swamps and there is also from sand dug. on my photo it is a Red Sand which is usually good for Cor material because its character is almost the same as concrete sand but more rough and rock somewhat larger. Sand grains are generally sized between 0.0625 to 2 millimeters. The sand-forming material is silicon dioxide, but in some tropical and subtropical beaches it is generally formed from limestone.
You can see in my photo Red Sand that is experiencing abrasion as a result of flowing water, We already know together that the erosion or erosion that can be experienced by this soil can occur due to various factors. The one that causes this erosion is water. Water is one of the most powerful objects for moving materials in the soil or on the ground. Water erosion is called ablation.
Water can move material materials that exist on the sand surface through the flow that is owned by the water. This flow of water or current will make the sand surface become carried away, so this will certainly move the sand surface bit by bit. Water that causes erosion is the river water. Continuous erosion caused by river water can ultimately lead to the occurrence of V-shaped rivers, ravines or canyons, swift streams, and even waterfalls.
