"Gerrard's Corner Restaurant" at China Town

My friend and I were hanging out in Central London this weekend so we stopped over in China town for some food. My friend then took me to her regular Dim Sum place called “Gerrard’s Corner Restaurant”. I was pretty excited to try it out for myself, lol.

China town was, as usual, buzzing and full of people. The red lantern decorations for the "Mid-Autumn Festival" were still there. A lot of red elements everywhere, lol.

"Gerrard’s Corner Restaurant" is located on the corner of Gerrard Street intersecting Wardour Street. The restaurant seemed very clean and cozy. We were shown to the downstairs dining area as the ground floor was full.

Before we even ordered, the waiter already served us some prawn cracker and chilli sauce, which was nice.

My friend and I both opted for a bottle of Tiger Beer each. Typical Asian beer, being light and refreshing.

We had Deep Fried Squid with Salt and Chilli and it was cooked to perfection, light and golden crispy!

The Dim Sum Platter was lovely, especially the prawn dumplings! It was nice that they served the dim sum dishes in the evening too as most Chinese restaurants only serve dim sum during the daytime.

We also shared Mixed Seafood Ho Fun. The dish was tasty but a bit too greasy for my liking, however I did really enjoy the tasty king prawns and giant scallops!

When it came to paying the bill, we were asked to go upstairs. We were shown the total bill amount on a terminal screen without given any printed receipts. We paid straight away without asking to check the bill as we simply couldn’t be bother at that time of night, lol. But personally, I would actual prefer being given a simple receipt like all the other restaurants!

"Gerrard’s Corner Restaurant" is not my favourite restaurant in China town but the dim sum dish was good and service was efficient. If you are ever in the area and would like to grab a quick lunch, this is a good option.
