Cobra coral

Na minha caminhada matinal meu primeiro encontro foi com este lindo exemplar de cobra coral com mais de 1 metro de comprimento.
No Brasil, podem ser conhecidas pelos nomes cobra-coral-venenosa, coral-venenosa, coral-verdadeira, ibiboboca, ibiboca e ibioca.
As cobras-corais não dão "bote" e apresentam hábitos fossoriais, vivendo em sua maior parte escondidas embaixo de troncos e folhagem.
A sua peçonha é neurotóxica, ou seja, atinge o sistema nervoso, causando dormência na área da picada, problemas respiratórios (sobretudo no diafragma) e caimento das pálpebras, podendo levar uma pessoa adulta ao óbito em poucas horas. O tratamento é feito com o soro antielapídico.

I have seen this type of snake first time
Yikes, that's one scary snake! 1 meter is pretty long, I would screech and run scared if I encountered it.
Looks nice with the color tho, black and red.
