El Bisonte americano
Es originario de Euroasia y migro a Norte America a travez del Estrecho de Bering. Aunque se le suele ver calmado pastando puede llegar a alcanzar una velocidad de 57 kilometros por hora. La epoca de celo se da en los meses de agosto y septiembre, durante este periodo se presenta mucha actividad sobre todo en los machos quienes pelean entre si para obtener la dominancia ante un grupo de hembras con las cuales se apareara.

Dieta: Hojas, hierbas, plantas
Amenazas: Destrucción de su hábitat, caza ilegal, comercio de pieles

La naturaleza es tan variada que es imposible conocerla toda. No sabía que hubiera varias clases de bisontes. Yo sólo conocía los norteamericanos, por las películas de vaqueros, y los del Tíbet, que se llaman yak.
