Yamunotri is Surrounded by the largest hills and mountains of Himalaya, this is the actual source of the river Yamuna, a frozen lake and a glacier (Champasar) located at an altitude of 4421m is inaccessible till the date. For this reason the shrine is placed at the foot of the hill.

The shrine is dedicated to mainly The Goddess Yamuna and the deity is made of black marble, which is very beautiful and sacred.

Here you can feel the auspicious weather, snowy mountain, glazy morning and the sanctity of the Yamunotri is associated with an ambience of work class sight seeing and an absolute purity the pious and bliss creates a deep feeling of reverence, which is it's beauty of hilly areas and lovely mountains.

This place is like heaven on the earth.
