Thinking to myself.

I'm sitting here by a roaring fire while a wind outside smashes rain up against the window on this cold December evening. Warm and comfortable watching my usual Saturday evening sport. A combination of rugby first and soccer after. ( Chelsea v man city). While it seems grim outside my window in reality it's always like this in the winter That's why we take certain precautions. It's why i'm inside my nice warm room with a cup of tea and the fire on.

In reality nothing has changed only the time of year. The market's are the same. They blow hot and then cold. When the bad weather comes you can only wrap up warm and wait for the summer again. Precautions need to be taken to survive until the summer. STEEM inc have taken this approach and in my opinion it's a realistic option for where we are right now. Maybe a bit harsh and unexpected but needs must. They tried to do too much while the sun was out and found that it passed without anything being accomplished.

And yet we are all still here!!

Not everybody that was here at $6 but everybody that really matters. Not only that but the majority of them have been strengthening their positions on the chain. All I am doing is holding on to the projects that i believe in like STEEM and wait it out. There is still plenty of progress and development happening so that when prices increase and people flood in there will be a lot more for them to get involved in. The infrastructure has improved drastically and a renewed focus on adding value can only help. The apps keep appearing, the development is ongoing so for anybody not worried about having to sell it's just about settling in with a cup of tea until the sun comes out again.

Some people are making great efforts to help out and to add value to the project here but i do worry about the lack of cohesion. Decentralization is great to distribute power and direction but i do feel we need a more coherent plan going forward. If there was more communication between groups and developers to work towards a common interest.

A forum of sorts to discuss ideas that could help and to allow people without the tech skills to get involved in ideas that they have an interest in. Whether it is games, marketing, curating, development. A swap meet of skills and ideas really to help get more people involved. Sometimes it can be hard to get off the sidelines and get into the game. It would be nice to see groups looking for people and finding projects to jump into.

I know that i would be more than happy to get involved if i saw a project that i believed in and that i could add value to. Just something that I was thinking about lately.

YES! great post! i am someone who has ideas but not the tech knowledge. i am a filmmaker and a musicmaker. i have made my living doing both for the last 20 years. i have written and directed 7 feature films, and close to finishing my first doc. my films have all been idies, so i have worn many hats across the board of filmmaking. i say all this so you know that i am someone who follows through and is willing to learn. but yes a place where i could talk ideas to people who knew how to do such things would be educational and perhaps something beautiful could come out of it. and that is just me and my ideas which are mostly geared to film and music. i am also thinking of the other brilliant folks who have answers to amazing life hacks the world could use! great idea indeed!

i am also thinking of the other brilliant folks who have answers to amazing life hacks the world could use!

I've often had the ideas but not the time or knowledge to put them to use. Then there were times when i had plenty of spare time but nothing to work on. I was just pondering to myself about a place to join up the people with the ideas. We have so many brilliant people in this community and so many things that could be done that it would be nice to have a showcase for all of that talent.

Since i joined here last year the most common complaint has been that people have nothing to write about. If they were offered a position helping in a curation group, competition, development team. It would put them in contact with like minded people, start a community and give them something to add to the blockchain. most of the people we lose at the beginning are due to getting lost on the site but putting them into the right place to grow would make a huge difference to all the new starters.

Yes true. but i believe when yhe time is right, they will all be back! they will all have no choice. someday. but for now, i think you are right and it would be great if there was a suggestion place so that the tech genius and can find. will shall see what happens next! great luck!
