Of course i am correct, (i know the system) but i am not right.
Voting as an "i see you" has good effect too. But you will not get any rewards from steem, but the rewards may be negligible anyway.
I usually upvote all the commentors on my posts. But this is because i have more than 1MVest and have only a few commentors.
As a tip, i upvote my posts 100% the morning after i make them. So, if you vote after 30 minutes (so you get full curration) and before the next morning, you will probably get at least 0.001 SP. But, i haven't really worked this out. My vote may not be valuable enough yet.
If only SP is giving the power of the vote, why people keep Steem dollars ? Why not put all of it in SP?
Steem dollars were designed to be trading currency. For buying things on the market and such.
It was supposed to be pinned to one US dollar, but now is worth about $3.
If you like, when you are about to post your essay, you can select 100% power up, and then you will get all SP.
But, since lately Steem Blockchain Dollars have been outperforming STEEM, it is better to do the 50/50 and then sell the SBD for steem. There is an internal marketplace. (upper right thingy -> currency market)
Right now, STEEM and SBD are about equal, so advice may change.
