Week 44: #introduceyourself Curation Post

Another Week spending time curating the introductions around the Ecosystem which while being less than usual have been somewhat interesting as there has been an increase of new introductions from existing users due to the launch of a new communities or tribes like PALnet and SteemLEO. I have not included these introductions here as they are not truly introduction posts but I do believe that these introductions are providing new interests to the platform which encourage many to participate in these new communities.

As I was browsing and engaging around the #introduceyourself tag, I ran into a great post that went into some detail of how a good introduction post should look like. This post was great to see as I often had wondered how key education like this was missing from the onboarding of new users as they join the community. I believe that our introductions into any community have important implications for our future engagement and ultimately our retention as it will be key for users to select those who have interesting approaches and engagement. I hope we continue to see more ideas as introduction post have continued to expand and vary over the last couple of months.

The following are this week’s curated #introduceyourself posts from new Steemians! Please consider providing them a visit to help them onboard and provide them with motivation towards the future:

@jeralu is a young art student that gave his introduction with some interesting perspective as he let the writing process flow freely without not knowing what to focus on. However, I believe he gave a great summary of his passions and thoughts about how be social and share his art and learnings with the community. He talks about his maturity which is seen as he patiently waits for life to get to its time for things. His unique post has gotten my interest!

@activebeast is a new Steemian from Kenya that introduced himself with some great highlights and photos of his passions. He is a online course designer which is interesting given the opportunity that could exist to help educate new users onboarding onto Steem. In addition, he shared his cooking and fashion skills which help him enjoy the social aspect of being around friends to enjoy each others company. Lastly, he shared his efforts for remaining fit with a video on his workout which could eventually lead him to even more communities here in the ecosystem.

@matthewanthonyit is a new Steemian that has gotten off to a quick start as he followed up his introduction post with an introduction video as well! He is from Nigeria and shared some great photos with what he loves to do which is tend the farm. Agriculture is a key part of his life as it helps provide for his family given the challenges of his country. He looks to share his experiences with the community to help spread knowledge.

@christianknuchel comes to Steem to share his thoughts on issues he has not been able to stay away from given his strong tendencies to express himself related to politics and society. His introduction comes in an interesting time in history as censorship is becoming more of an issue and he recognizes that Steem can be part of the solution to share among a community.

I hope this to be an evolving process to the benefit of the community so please continue providing feedback to support these and all the new users coming to the platform. I am looking forward to more new users coming and engaging with the community to solidify the social aspect of the #STEEM blockchain.
