Far from SteemFest

I have been looking forward to this day for months as I first thought I would have been able to go but given the timing of when it all came to be and the announcement, the stars did not align for me this year. It actually would have been horrible given everything going on at work so now I am looking forward to the next best thing; reading about it from everyone there! I have already started to see pictures and posts that seem that more and more are converging on Bangkok for an amazing event.

I had planned to watch the livestreams as they are being setup by @steemfest in their latest post and begin soon but I completely forgot about the time zone difference so I will most likely have to catch up tomorrow. I still remember how exciting I got last year when I watched over a dozen hours of streaming about the different projects making progress. This year will probably be more interesting as those still developing these days probably know the need for a sustainable business model as the delegation model has proven to be short lived in most cases although some popular projects have been able to persist along those lines.

Seeing how developers continue to work on the ecosystem despite the adversity and challenges of engagement and changes demonstrates the potential of bringing great projects to the community to be engaged constantly. Value continues to be added at each iteration as they become part of the foundation of the protocol that can be the building blocks of both existing and future projects that look towards achieving better adoption.

I am hoping that this will be the catalyst that the community needs (and myself) to get excited once again; #newsteem or not! I want to feel and watch it before my eyes as “Steeming” continues to be a great experience for me and the one thing I wish I can do more of every day. I am looking forward to reading and seeing the experiences of those that have made the journey in addition to the exciting things coming to the ecosystem in the coming months. Ultimately, I want it to be my goal to get to the next SteemFest in 2020!
