Hello Halloween!
I wish that those of us in Nigeria and Africa can take our cultural heritage seriously.
We have traditions better than Halloween but somehow someone has made us think less of it.
New yam festivals.
Masquerade festivals.
Carnivals.
Cultural dress up days.
Traditional marriages.
Old school attire memory lane .
Africa please embrace your culture and heritage.
That's the result of copy copy. You know we love copying everything western and do it more than those we copied it from. i wonder whenever i see Nigerians living in Nigeria taking part in Halloween. We just too like to copy nonsense! Our cultures are so rich that the western world should be the ones copying us, but inferiority complex has made us relegate our rich African cultures to the background. So sad!
