What you should do

Our union with Christ empowers to us to live a higher life than that which is known to the world. This life reflects and affects everything we say and do.
Let's see how that happens in :

Ephesians 5:1,4
[1]THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].
[4]Let there be no filthiness (obscenity, indecency) nor foolish and sinful (silly and corrupt) talk, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting or becoming; but instead voice your thankfulness [to God]."

There is a way God communicates . Anyone who has ever heard God speak by any means will agree that His words and thoughts are devoid in its entirety of impurities and lovely. His voice alone brings healing ,hope and direction in dark places .

Therefore as His imitators , our communication within and outside the Church family must reflect that which is pure and edifying. Even when we crack jokes ,it must be edifying . Don't make fun of people and say that "its just for laughing sake".

It may not be so interpreted by your hearers. Wherever we are , our voices should be lent out in praise of God. Let others learn the joy of the Lord from the way we speak and live.
Impure talks do not become pure because christians say them.
