Fiesta - Hagonoy Bulacan

Yesterday we celebrated Fiesta here in our small town in Hagonoy Bulacan, a yearly occasion and usually led by a Hermana/Hermano Mayor.This tradition during festivals is a practice carried on from the Philippines whereby prominent citizens are chosen to be the honorary fetivals chairs who coordinated with the Church's preparations for events making the feast town's Patron Saint.

Hermana Mayor - served as a hosts for after-Mass fellowship and otherwise supported other aspects of the fiesta operations

Tungkod - a stick that the Hermana Mayor carries all throughout the year until pass-on to the next host.
