Unemployment has really caused social havoc and increased social vices in recent times in most parts of the world.

A focus on this article will be on Nigeria.
Nigerian universities and polytechnics keeps churning out graduates in multitudes with no job whatsoever to engage them with.

A typical job interview scene is so filled with loads of unemployed youths sometimes even older folks too...
A couple of times, some applicants lose their lives as a result of stampede and other reasons.

Lately, some unemployed Nigerian graduates, underemployed alike have taken a wrong decision to committing suicide in a quest to end the frustrations and depression they are faced with amidst this challenges...Is this the right step? NO!!!
I read an article recently, where a graduate died on the verge of selling his kidney. Holy Spirit!!!

WHAT EXACTLY COULD BE THE CAUSE?

To be candid, Educational institutions particularly those in Nigeria and other African countries alike aren't pragmatic in their teaching style thus, portraying a theorists futuristic lifestyle to the students. Inadvertently, making them less creative and innovative.

Alternatively, Schools teaches students to be employees of labour rather than employers of labour.

Prior to the recession in Nigeria, Unemployment rate has been on an alarming rate and doesn't seem to soothe any time soon.

The unemployment rate in Nigeria increased to 14.2 percent in the last quarter of 2016 from 10.4 percent a year earlier. It is the highest jobless rate since 2009 as the number of unemployed went up by 3.5 million to 11.549 million while employment rose at a slower 680.8 thousand to 69.6 million.

I am envisaging that Social platforms like Steemit and digital currency investments would be creating a long term employment opportunities for the populace in a short while...
Self Employment, skill acquisition and entrepreneurship perhaps is the answer to the problem.
