Sushi Roll Recipe!

Ingredients

1 cup Sushi Rice
2 tablespoon Rice Wine Vinegar
6 Sheets Nori
1 tablespoons Sugar
1 Cucumber Cut into Sticks
2 Avocados Cut into Slices
Smoked Salmon Slices
Soy Sauce, to serve

Method

  1. Rinse rice under cold running water until water runs clear.

  2. Place rice and water in a saucepan, cover with lid and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes. Turn off heat and leave covered for a further 10-12 minutes.

  3. Combine vinegar and sugar in a cup. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add to rice and stir through. Spread rice out onto a baking tray and leave to cool.

  4. Place 1 nori sheets, shiny side down onto a bamboo mat.

  5. Using damp hands, place some of the rice on the sheet and spread out, leaving the top edge clear by 1cm.

  6. Lay smoked salmon slices over rice and add avocado and cucumber along the side closest to you.

  7. Roll up using the bamboo mat, starting from the end with the fillings.wet the uncovered strip at the far end and press to seal. Slice into 8 pieces. Place on a serving platter. Repeat with rice and fillings.

  8. Serve sushi with soy sauce...
