Color Challenge - Sunday Purple: Ivan-da-Marya
Hi dear friends!
This is my contribution to today's #colorchallenge by @kalemandra.
This flower in Latin is called Melampyrum Nemorosa, and in Russia it is called "Ivan-da-Marya". From ancient times these blue and yellow inflorescences of Ivan-da-Marya symbolize fidelity. One of the most common legends says that two beloved, only after the wedding, they learned about the blood relationship between them. And not to betray each other, turned into beautiful flowers that are difficult to confuse with any other plants:
