The device of the cleaver

In order to save, the handle of the cleaver was cast from copper together with a cup and a bow of the guard. The blade of the knife later could be either straight or curved, sharp (sharpened) on one or both sides.

Its length was usually 64 - 72 centimeters, and the width of 4 - 5 centimeters. Slasher, as a rule, had a hilt. The handle usually had a cross or an arch.
