Here in Philippines we follow a simple rules on how you can scheduled a appointment to renew your passport. In my case my passport is going to expired by Feb year of 2019, This is kinda early to renew but as far as i know you cannot travel outside the country if your passport is near expired 6 months before the date of issued, so its better to get a early renewal before your passport got expired, renew your passport before 6 months. To be able to renew your passport you need to get a Online Registration for your appointment in DFA here is the link for you to schedule your appointment. Schedule an Appointment.

Here in Philippines its hard to get a appointment online since many Filipinos, most specially the OFW need this. So i am very lucky to get a chance to have my early appointment in DFA SM Mega mall branch. Once you are done with your Online Registration DFA will sent to you an Email, this contains your Exact Schedule and verification that you go on their process, you need to print it out and bring it along with you when your going on your scheduled date.

This is what i am telling to you that even you have a online appointment still you will fall in line and this line is kinda long, it takes me 45 minutes outside just to wait my time to enter inside the DFA. I highly suggested that bring bottled water with you and go first to the nearest rest room before you start to fall in line, For you to avoid leaving your line.

Inside the facilities this will be the steps that you must follow, Take note that before you go here your requirements must be completed for better assistance and for the fast transactions inside the premises.

STEP 1 is VERIFICATION Here DFA staffs will verify your Barcoded form this is from the DFA that emailed you. the one that i said that print it out and bring along with you. This is the assurance for them to verify that you do the online registration for your appointment.

STEP 2 is PROCESSING Here in processing area DFA staffs will get all of your papers including your 2 Valid ids the old passport and NSO for the supporting documents. This is all you need when your going to RENEW only your passport.

STEP 3 is PAYMENTS In payments you have two options for 1,200 pesos (23.03 in dollars) you can get your passport for 1 week only this is what they call RUSH PROCESSING and the other one is 950 pesos (18.23 in Dollars) this is 15- 18 days processing.

STEP 4 is ENCODING In this area all of your information will be encoded by the staff this include you Name, Age, Birthday and Adress.

STEP 5 is PAYMENTS for Delivery This is optional only if you want to deliver your passport straight to your door steps, this cost for 150 pesos (2.88 in Dollars) if you don't want to pay for delivery you can still pick up your passport on the said date.

And that is the process and fees for the Passport Renewal, for me this is much better processing way back the old times of how they process the Passports.

Thank you for visiting my Blog today, Hope that it helps you and give you a guidance on how to renew your passport here in Philippines. See you on my Next BLog Love and Kisses.
