Orange Juice

in #busy6 years ago

hope you've noticed that the juice made from oranges that you squeeze yourself and drink right away does not have the same taste as bottled juice. It's still glaring. So ? how do you explain that? You are told that this is the effect of pasteurization. You are told that bottled juice is orange juice that has just been squeezed for a few hours before marketing it, which is "just" pasteurized.

In good faith, you buy your juice, taking care to read the labels. You know that you have to avoid concentrate juice, cheaper but also less good (well, that's what you've read in magazines with confidence, or on conso websites of confidence too) and not necessarily very natural (you've read it too).

According to the advice of your favorite conso magazine, you always carefully choose a juice labeled "100% pure orange juice". Because you were told that it was juice with nothing added in it, no sugar, no water, no preservatives or flavors. Real juice, which was squeezed just before being put in the bottle, or in the tetrapak, and then pasteurized to keep it longer, as the milk is kept (hum, yes, the milk, there would have something to say about milk, but that's another story). And then by law, a juice labeled 100% pure juice should contain nothing but oranges, right? So it's true. We believe in

Sort:
