MY 2018-THIS IS MY HOBBY/WRITING IS MY THERAPY IN ALL FORMS

## Dear friends,

I have many hobbies, but when I studied in grade school to college, drawing was my love. I embraced that skill to be able to express my emotions, but since I finished my studies and had a job, I abandoned this hobby considering of my hiatus schedules. If you'd ask me where are my drawings now, I can't show you the good one. My talent is not trained well. My father dreamed to see me becoming an engineer one day or an artist, but I was discouraged with my life. Feared walked before me that both courses have Mathematics. I realized that what fails us is by believing our fears yet putting ourselves down. To prove the world we are the best version, we must love ourselves more.

My second hobby is to write a personal diary and love letters. I am further spontaneous to write everything. Now that I have an Internet, my writings become digital or shall I say, I now have an online journal and my passion for it has yielded good fruits. My emotions are released with many audiences from different countries and by doing what I love, incentives are followed. My writings are not elite as many people can notice, but I care with everybody's critiques because if we love what we do, no one can stop us even criticisms, but we use those criticisms to improve our pieces.

Writing deserves an emo person like me. Astonishing though that after I post an emotional write-up, the razor blade is pulled out from my heart. Later, I can realize how weird and emo I was.

Writing is not just treating subconscious minds and psychical problems, it likewise helps us to discover who we are.

This hobby has given me wonders. Additionaly, I've gained a lot of famous author friends whom I learned many things regarding cultural differences. In constructing essays, I mastered how to build words that are suitable for my statements. There are deep English words that we don't need to apply once we build a sentence because the simpler words we use, the better. Long ago, I used deep vocabularies just to sound smarter than everybody else, but I realized that what matters is the thoughts. We must be careful to use deep vocabularies because the outcome will be unreadable and exaggerated. To reach the standard of the elite writers and be criticized for my grammars are my greatest challenges.

Writing is a part of my life especially now that I've grown because I am also paid for it and I do this paid-to-write venture for five years. Indeed, it's my routine to write according to my writing schedule as I'd be anxious for not doing so in a day. I am lucky to have my older sister who is my role model in an authorship. She is smarter than me in many things. When we were children, she loved to read and write even the place we lived in never had an electricity. Reminiscing those days, we lived in the countryside without current. Before the darkness, we needed to keep all our things. But my father invented a lamp that consumes a gas. In the evening, I always see my sister reading and writing. I may not as the good writer as her, but she is my influencer.

There are times when I write that the memories of the past keep coming back. Then it becomes clear that every story we come across are the lessons behind.

If I'd be asked whether I choose writing or my family, of course, I choose writing because it's is a part of my family and I love my family. If I'd be asked whether I choose writing or my friends, of course, family first before friends. Because of this hobby, I sometimes declined my family's bonding invitations if it's not important. A family bonding is not a problem to a home-based author like me because we always bond at home.

This writing hobby is expensive as I am paid for it rather than spending the time to watch Television shows or exploring my Facebook feed. If someone tells me to watch the shared viral videos on Facebook, it can't afford my time.

It's amazing to realize that I never invested money to do what I love but I am paid for it. What I invest are just time, attention, and emotions. Because of these investments, I sometimes sacrifice to spend my time to concentrate writing instead of going out sometimes with my family.

I consider myself an amateur writer, but my Steemit environment is a challenge to be an adept one day. I am hesitant to say I am an amateur one because I've been rewarded many times for it, but my dream to be a notable author is not happening yet, considering myself who belong to an amateur class. I am very grateful to Grammarly as my tool to improve my write-ups. Through it, I learned how to use prepositions and articles properly. It also corrects my spellings. The only downfall when we use grammar tool is forgetting those corrected mistakes. We become dependent to write if we lose Internet. It is still better to read grammar books and practice oftentimes.

Being a writer in Steemit is one of my decent jobs. It pays me while sitting in a chair all day long without pressure to obey a boss, the fact that I'm the boss of my deadlines.
