what are they going to do about bots?
any talk of proof of brain being brought back?
those are the only things i'm interested in as far as continuing to participate here.
Which bots do you mean? Voting bots or spam bots?
If voting bots, then I think that they will go extinct without Steemit, Inc directly intervening.
As it stands, the only way to get noticed on Steem is to either have a lot of personal connections or have money to promote your content - honestly, it’s not all that different from traditional platforms. either work hard or buy the attention through voting bots or both.
I do believe that voting bots need to go away and with them going away, we’ll see better content discovery as everyone will be (hopefully) manually curating. Idk if this is something that needs to be done at a blockchain economics layer or at the layer of simply finding businesses that can return greater than 20% APR.

Voting bots are a response to circle jerk voting by people with steem power. Once those people start acting in the best interests of the community and not themselves and vote for good content, and not just their friends, the the bots will no longer exist. Autovoting should be banned and all front ends here should require a human to solve a captcha before posting. I was amazed when i came here and saw all the people who post once a day and have 9 friends on autovote and never read anything or otherwise participate. That's not a community.
