Friday Market: Some interesting shops at Amarin Plaza,
This is my entry for #marketfriday hosted by the compassionate @dswigle. Last week I only showed one antique shop at Amarin Plaza. So, this week I would like to show a few more interesting shops around the same area.
Right opposite the Burmese antique shop is a small art gallery. This gallery stocks abstract and contemporary oil paintings done by local and young artists. So, prices of these paintings are not expensive comparing to other well known galleries. The manager does not like people taking photos of these paintings so I could only take a few shots.
To the left of the antique shop, you’ll find a shop selling stainless steel objects ranging from kitchen utensils, containers, and items for interior design decorations. The light reflecting on all stainless steel objects could be very confusing for the eyes. I found it very difficult to focus any object clearly.
At the end of the corridor, a new tattoo studio has just opened with lots of avant garde designs. This studio is very spacious but I think it’s location is a bit too further away from the main shopping arcade. There are many complicated design patterns on display inside and outside the studio.
There are three more shops which I like to walk around window shopping around that area. The silk scarf shop is full of colourful silk scarfs and shawls, printed cotton cloth and pillow cases. The next shop is the stone and jewelry shop where we sound find lots of shiny crystal jewelries and some old stones from the middle eastern countries. The other shop is the Nepal Art Shop which has lots of Tibetan religious objects and some antique pieces at very good price. So, when you are in Bangkok, do not forget to drop by these shops at Amarin Plaza.
Wishing you a very peaceful and relaxing weekend.
Cheers.
I love how you opened up with the painting of the cat with the glasses on! The reflective nature of it only makes it all the more alluring! I absolutely love it! I can understand the man that you're not wanting people to take pictures because of the copycats that there are out there. This was quite a shop and had a broad selection.
The stainless steel shot was interesting because there were lots of items that I could actually use. I can see where you would have trouble focusing on it, but in the picture I can see it pretty clearly and wow! Was there enough stuff in there?? Those were some very interesting tattoos and if you got one, you can show us next week on Market Friday! LOL
Beautiful scarves and fabrics and the jewelry was quite beautiful and there were so many different ones to choose from. I like the last set of jewelry it was really really pretty and the Nepal shop looked very interesting to me. Like the name of the singing bowl. As always you had a most wonderful post and I love following you around. You always make a very interesting post and I think a lot of that has to do with how awesome Thailand is!
Thank you for taking the time to take pictures and for posting into the challenge. Is it always appreciated!
#MarketFriday loves you! 💖

Thank you very much for your very nice comment! I hope you don’t have to feel that you have to give a long comment for me! I know you have put in a lot of work and generosity towards many members.
Your enthusiasm has already shown me your appreciation and much interest in the post. You spend so much time on the post that I feel that you have over extended yourself!!
Please look after your body! Sitting still for a long time is not good!! Walking is advised!!

Oh no worries! That's why it takes me so long to answer everybody. I take my time and go through each post so that I can enjoy it! I actually exercise every single day and do a lot of walking and although I am a runner also. I usually will walk 3 to 5 miles a day or Run 1 to 3 miles a day. Sitting for a long time is no good for anybody or their body! You are absolutely right. I don't have to do long comments for anybody, but I do like to make sure that I say everything but I am intended to say. Which ends up to be a longer comment. But I am okay with that! I hope you have a most wonderful day!
Goodness! You are a real healthy person! How do you find the time to walk regularly?! I am impressed at how you look after your health!! Shame on me!
I really must a great effort to walk regularly!
I say, you must be a writer or artist of some kind. You have so much patience for details and your perception is very keen!
Have a very nice weekend.
