Beautiful Sunday: So many people (can you spot some Steemit friends) watching the sunset on the Golden Mount Temple, คนแห่ไปขึ้นภูเขาทองกันแน่นมาก

This is my entry for #beautifulsunday hosted by @ace108. Never seen so many people queuing up to the top of the Golden Mount Temple or Wat Sa-ked. It is the annual one week festival in this temple, so people flooded the temple to make merits and have a good time.

We had to wait for about half an hour to be able to climb the narrow staircase to the top floor which opened into open roof veranda. We could walk around the Golden Pagoda very slowly as the place was packed like sardine can! But the breezes were refreshing and the sunset was comforting so the stress of waiting went away.

So, we had to queue for getting down from the roof-top veranda for half an hour. There were thousands of people of all ages there. I was amazed that these people were very patient and in good humour. They were there to make merits or good karma and enjoy the temple fair and street food.

เราไปวัดภูเขาทองวันอาทิตย์ พลาดไปจริงๆ เจอคนหลายพันคนในงานวัดประจำปีของที่นี่ สนุกมากกับการได้เห็นงานวัดแบบโบราณ และของกินแปลกๆและหากินยากเต็มลานวัด แต่พวกเราก็ต้องเข้าแถวเพื่อขึ้นไปบนชั้นสูงสุดของภูเขาทองนานมาก พอขึ้นไปถึงพระอาทิตย์ใกล้ตกพอดี ลมโกรกมาทำให้หายเหนื่อย คนเบียดกันมาก แต่ทุกคนก็ไม่แสดงอารมณ์ คนตั้งใจมาทำบุญและมาไหว้พระบรมสารีริกธาตุกันหลายพันคน เราคิดว่าคนคงขึ้น ลงภูเขาทองกันถึงเที่ยงคืน

เราพาเพื่อนไปเดินเล่นถ่ายรูป และเล่นยิงปืน ผิดคาด! เขายิงกันเก่งมาก ได้ตุ๊กตากลับไปฝากคนที่บ้านตั้งแปดตัว แถมได้ซื้อของเล่นราคาคนไทยอีกด้วย สนุกกันดีจริง และได้นั่งรถตุ๊กตุ๊กไปลงเรือด่วน เพื่อไปท่าสี่พระยา. เหล่าพวกไฮโซไปกินข้าวล่องเรือตามแม่นํ้าเจ้าพระยา ดูไฟยามคํ่าคืนกัน สนุกกันเต็มที่ก่อนกลับบ้านไปทำงานตามปกติ

Luckily we casually walked around taking photos and taking in the atmosphere. We had to go with the flow and just trusted everything will work out fine! Good humour and positivity paid off very well. We played a few games at the fair, unexpectedly got several doll trophies! These are good shooters!

It’s getting dark and we must get some food; lucky people are going on a Steemit cruise for dinner! This is a dark night photo!
