Beautiful Sunday: Chinese New Year decorations at a mall, เทศกาลตรุษจีนที่ห้าง

This weekend has been a very slow and lazy time for me. The dust pollution in Bangkok is getting much better as the strong wind has started to blow the dust out to the sea. Like most people, the best way to avoid dust pollution is to go to big shopping malls with cool air-conditioning. The Central shopping mall in Rama 3 road has the Chinese New Year decorations up for people to take their selfies.

The Chinese New Year is less than ten days away, it’s on Monday 4th February; the year of the pig. That’s why there are so many pig dolls for selfies. There were old and young people, families with young children taking photos and children were having a good time running around. Such cheerful and lively vibrations helped to cheer me up tremendously as I was in a low frequency in the morning. I had a good time catching glimpses of happy children, smiling people, groups of families and friends.

My brain was full of all the negative news of what would likely happen this year, that’s why my heart sank in the morning. Looking at other people’s lives, this gave me some soothing peace momentarily. But I could not help wondering how most people would be shocked and unprepared when the calamity actually hit the news. Life is tough, which ever way one looks at it. I just pray and hope for the best. Live each day with minfulness and equanimity.

วันอาทิตย์เราค่อนข้างขี้เกียจ ไม่อยากทำอะไรนอกจากนอนอย่างเดียว แต่สถานการณ์มลภาวะฝุ่นในกรุงเทพฯ ดีขึ้นมาก เราเห็นท้องฟ้าสดใสและลมพัดแรงมาก ฝุ่นโดยพัดกระจายออกสู่ทะเลมากแล้ว เราก็หลบฝุ่นโดยการไปเดินห้างที่มีแอร์เย็นๆ เราไปห้างเซ็นทรัลพระรามสาม เพราะจอดรถยนต์ได้ไม่ต้องห่วงเรื่องเวลา เราไปเห็นเขาเริ่มตกแต่งห้างสำหรับฉลองตรุษจีนแล้ว เราลืมไปเลยว่าปีนี้ วันตรุษจีนมาถึงเร็วมาก วันที่ 4 กุมภาพันธ์นี้แล้ว เป็นปีหมู ดูได้จากตุ๊กตาหมูหลายตัว

ปีนี้ทางห้างประหยัดมาก ลงทุนตกแต่งน้อยกว่าปีที่แล้ว แต่หมูสีชมพูทำให้ทุกคนอารมณ์ดีและรื่นเริง โดยเฉพาะเด็กและผู้สูงอายุ เราเห็นเด็กๆวิ่งเล่นกันสนุกสนาน และหลายครอบครัวพากันมาถ่ายรูปเป็นที่ระลึก เพื่อนฝูงก็ผลัดกันถ่ายรูป ทำให้จิตใจเราแจ่มใสขึ้นมากที่เห็นคนอื่นอารมณ์ดีเบิกบาน ทำให้เรารู้สึกดีมากกว่าตอนเช้า เพราะเราอ่านข่าวไม่ดีมากไปทำให้มีความกังวลด้านเศรษฐกิจปีนี้ เราคงต้องปล่อยวางให้มากๆ แต่ก็อดคิดไม่ได้ว่าคนส่วนใหญ่ที่ไม่ตระหนักถึงภัยที่กำลังจะมาถึง แล้วเขาจะรับมือได้หรือ เราก็คงต้องสวดมนต์ให้มากขึ้นและปล่อยวางอุเบกขาต่อไป ใช้ชีวิตในแต่ละวันให้มีสติมากๆ
