MARK ZUCKERBERG, Facebook CEO A THREAT TO STEEMIT

Last Monday, Facebook CEO Mark Zukerberg made a statement of pushing on another version of Facebook. This version is a new formally format of Facebook which consists of turning Facebook into a crypto reward currency. It consists of rewarding more posts and comments as Steemit does for their users. In other words, this will be a copied version of Steemit, made from steemit ideas and principles. This is a competition form which Mark Zuckerberg would wish to take out of steemit. Facebook has over 1.5 billion users around the world and they did think that this will be an opportunity of promoting their network all over the world. Well, this can have positive and negative impact to their platform and facebook users should be able to take all the consequences resulting from that particular decision.
Making facebook a crypto reward social platform will be a devastating decision in history which will turn the platform into something else not related to their primary purpose. It’s an act of plagiarism and not related to their original ideas.

Why am I saying so?

Trying to analyze Mark Zuckerberg previously, we may thing that he is actually talking about Steemit. He spoke about Facebook being a cryptocurrency and then after all he just mentioned thay there will be some reward on posts, comments and so on. I believe that he may be able to make a lot of money out of that but does not think that he can further with that. I mean, people’s perceptions about Facebook will change and profit oriented when sharing, posting or commenting. Facebook users will not be able to speak their mind but just to speak something that pleases the people. Should we say that they are right? No, money should not convert someone’s perception neither an individual’s views.
Well, Facebook might be a threat to Steemit and much more work should be needed to promote this platform. I have seen people around the world trying to promote steemit and endeed they have done a real work. We the steemians have tested the beauty of steemit and not telling your friend about steemit may be the least choice to make.
Facebook is a great platform and copying steemit features may be easy for them since they have the people all around the world. Steemit should continue improving their platform so as to attract more users. This will require a number of IT developers, thinkers, supporters, well wishers, etc. It does not take anything to post or promote something that you like. In Uganda, I can not spend a day without telling someone about Steemit. Well, I’m not paid for that and do not know anyone in the Steemit administration, but it does not matter as long there is love in that. I got to know steemit freely and I will promote it freely. Period. Nothing more is needed to make it your life, after all you can earn your life from Steemit.

This seems a jocke but I’m now earning my life through Steemit. If I can be able to make at least 2 Steem dollas per day, do you see it little for me an African who live with almost 1 US Dollars per day? Think twice. It is always funny when just suddenly an individual decides to upvote your post just freely and participate in sharing your views, and this will only be on Steemit. I got to know people that I never expected in life, but also earning as I could not expect.
Finally, I am not afraid of what Facebook may bring. what matters is the love on what you are doing. Do you love Steemit, then do promote it. Period.
