Make Steemit Trend in Africa By Translating Steemit to Swahili

Swahili is a dominant language spoken in the great east, south-east and central Africa. Its a Bantu language and spoken in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, kenya, Burundi, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo. However, the estimated number of Swahili users is 110 millions. In addition of being spoken, Swahili is the national language of those countries and widely spoken in Africa. Arabs also use Swahili since its always said that Swahili was derived from Arabic and the Comoros( spoken in Comoros island) said being derived from Swahili.

Providing a Steemit version on Swahili will be the best way to attract people in Africa since almost a half of the continent speak Swahili. Furthermore, people with little or none English knowledge can find a way of sharing their views. I may say that since Facebook introduced a Swahili version, more people were actually involved and accepted to join the platform. As African Steemian, we do advertise Steemit on universities and school only just because these are the ones able to understand and use the English language on Steemit

Africans will be excited to have this version since most of them will be able to communicate, especially in the east Africa region. Someone from Zanzibar will be able to communicate with an other person from Democratic republic of Congo. I must say that this decision will boost Steemit in the east African community and more people will be attracted ti join the platform.

Facebook was able to attract more people on their platform not because they had good content but because they were able to provide various languages to their platform. In Africa, people were excited and everyone was so excited to use Facebook in Swahili and even people who never used Facebook were able to join the network.

Steemit involves earning and sharing. How can someone share on something with little on no knowledge about the language? People are excited to earn by sharing their views but can't because of language barrier. Should we say that Steemit will be known in Africa? .yes, even at a higher rate. People from the villages will be excited to know what's on the trend but also will be able to have a clue on cryptocurrencies. I know cryptocurrencies have not yet penetrated well in Africa. If Steemit can avail their steemit version in Swahili, then more people will be glad to invest in Steemit.

In Africa, people have little knowledge about cryptocurrencies. Facebook found a way of introducing their version in swahili since most areas in Africa are now reached by the Internet connection. Steemit swahili can push people into investing in cryptocurrencies since most people are now afraid of investing in banks, which are most time viewed as corrupt and working with corrupt governments. In Africa, people are less knowledgeable about bitcoin and Steemit can take this opportunity by attracting more people from Africa.
