The Last House on the Left. Revenge Horror.

The Last House on the Left is a hard movie to watch.

The original came out in 1972.

It was remade in 2009.

I'm reviewing that version.

So without further ado, let's get into my review of The Last House on the Left.

The Last House on the Left is a horror movie that is mostly about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Being in the wrong place at the wrong time is a very real thing.

Anyone who's ever been mugged, caught a beer bottle to the head at a concert, or been in any kind of bad situation knows that is very possible to find yourself in a bad situation that is very difficult to get out of.

The Last House on the Left really takes this to the extreme.

After kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home belonging to the parents of one of the victims: a mother and father who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics.

Two young girls are off to have a good time. They're looking for weed, and they find some.

It turns out that a rather timid young man happens to have some good weed in his motel room.

Don't worry he tells the girls they're not going to be back for a long time.

He is wrong. They come back right away and interrupt the group smoking weed together.

I'm talking about a small group of serial killers.

They decide that they cannot let the girls go, and so the group all leave in one of the girls SUVs.

After a brief scuffle, the SUV crashes and there is quite a bit of screaming and thrashing around on the ground while everything gets settled.

One of the girls insults her kidnapper and is immediately killed. The other is raped. Yes. It is hard to watch.

At one point it actually looks as though the girl is going to be able to escape her captors.

She manages to make it to a lake and begins to swim away, but she is shot in the back and left to die.

There's quite a bit of blood and it seems impossible that she could possibly make it out of that situation alive.

The group of serial killers realize that they no longer have a car in order to get away in. It begins to rain quite badly and they know that they need to seek shelter.

They start looking for a place to spend the night and they find one in a cabin inhabited by a very nice man and woman.

These people even help to stitch up one of the serial killer's faces because he was hurt in the car accident.

I bet you guessed it. It's the girl's parents.

After helping the stranded group of serial killers, the couple then realizes that it's impossible for anyone to leave on such a rainy night.

They set the group up in the guest room.

Of course they don't know that the people are serial killers. They think that the people are weird though.

It seems like these people are just going to spend the night there and then be on their way.

Nobody would be the wiser.

Except for one thing.

Their daughter returns.

You might be asking yourself who could possibly enjoy this movie about a girl getting killed and then another girl getting raped by a group of serial killers?

Well, I have to admit you really do have to be a horror fan to get into this movie.... but isn't about any of that stuff.

It's about revenge.

Let me tell you something. This movie is really satisfying.

It's about a group of bad people that do bad things, and they get their just deserts in the end.

If you're looking for a good horror movie, and you can stomach the idea of what really goes on in this movie, and also understand that the ending is worth your while.... I suggest you check it out.

The Last House on the Left is one of the best revenge horror movies that I've ever seen.
