Hey hold on,if you clicked on this post thinking you are going to get tricks of copying and pasting that will not get you caught by @cheetah...??? You are in the wrong place hahaha.
In this post i will not talk about tricks to beat cheetah,but way to stay safe from @cheetah bot.There is a difference with copying and pasting and not being caught by @cheetah and also not being caught @cheetah at all!
I will be talking about ways you can stay safe from @cheetah.In this last weeks i have seen some of my community members falling victims of @cheetah and i am penning this post to help anyone who might have been a victim of @cheetah .
What is Cheetah?
Cheetah is that bot that looks and fights plagiarism together with @steemcleaners on the Steem blockchain.
If you are new to Steemit,here we do not copy and paste articles,to eliminate copying and pasting of articles,@cheetah runs a code through almost all new posts on Steemit and if it finds out that you copied and pasted,it will comment on your blog with the source of where you copied the post from hahaha!!!
I guess most people do not always read the Steemit welcome page,i will only give you the part that talks about plagiarism which you can read here.
What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is the copying & pasting of others work without giving credit to the original author or artist. Plagiarized posts are considered spam.

Plagiarism highly discouraged here on Steemit and you can get on @cheetah and @steemcleaners blacklist! This is a bad place to be in as you might be forced to create a new account!
Let me get straight to how to not get caught by cheetah
How To Not Get Caught By @cheetah
1. Write Original content!
This really sounds simple but may people fail to practice it! You can write our own story or life experience with a certain topic.
There are many posts on Steemit that can give us hints on what to write about.I can assure you that even this post can open up our mind to write an original article about our experience with Cheetah!
Here on Steemit,you are rewarded for your great content folks,not copy and pasted content!
Always and always write original content and you will never be caught by the naughty@acheetah!
I know you always see other people on Facebook post great stuff and you are always tempted to share on Steemit,please do not do it!
Here whatever is shared online and not yours is not yours period! It is not yours,write your own stuff.
I know you think cheetah only checks on websites....Cheetah checks all online publications.
Let me assure you that even if you are forwarded a message on Whatsapp and it seems so great,that forwarded message has a source! @Cheetah will look for the original source and put it as a comment in your eyes hahaha.
Now you might say,the person who forwarded the message also copied and pasted,yes but you also copied and pasted...and you are a worse criminal since you want to earn money from it...shame on you!!!!
2. Use Your Own Images
I also guarantee you that if you use our won images taken with your phone camera or real camera,there are no chances of cheetah ever getting you.
Do you see that image i used above,i designed it using canva.com.It is a free photo design service.....Go sign up and create our own images.
If You Cannot Be Original Try This Below!
I know it hard to write only original content all the time,you can be inspired by another person's work and would want to share it!
Write more than you quote!
I know we love quoting texts from people's blogs,putting text in those double quotes is not enough. let me assure you that many people can have their whole article in quotes!
In case you quote a text,you need to write more of your personal view than the quoted text! You can explain in details of how you have understood what you just quoted. Let me give an example
This is an example quote about plagiarism which i could have got from any article online!
You now need to explain or give your personal view of what you just quoted.You cannot have your full post in quotes..do you know what that means ? You guessed it,you copied and pasted the whole article and just disguised it in quotes!
Cite Your Sources Well
Always and always cite our sources well to give credit to the author of what you are quoting! It has to be properly done so that when we want to check out more,we can just go o that source and read more.
You have to give credit to the original owner folks,it is his/her intellectual property,the are the brainchild of that work,give credit where it is due.
Read The Entire Post and Write Your Personal View!
This also sounds simple but folks seem lazy to practice it.If there is an article that has interested you,read the whole of it then write you own thoughts about it!
This is the easiest thing to do folks,whatever we are going to write has probably already been written by another person,we just have to add another perspective which is our won to make it original to you.
Use Online Plagiarism Checkers!
If you really think that you have quoted so much in your post,just go to Google and search for any free online plagiarism checkers.Some of these checkers even show you the originality score of your post hahaha.
It is always better to run your article through this checkers before posting to stay safe.
Use PIxabay For Images
If you cannot have original images for whatever reason i do not know,you can find free images on pixabay,but you also have to cite them,in case you forget to cite an image from pixabay,you are a bit safe! I said a bit safe
I am sure if you write original content and use your own camera or phone images,@cheetah will NEVER EVER catch you. I say this out of experience,i have never been a victim of @cheetah.

This post was really needed. I have also been watching the victims and put myself in their shoes it's really painful but the good thing we can avoid that. I prefer stupid original article than an amazing plagiarised article.
I liked this, because it is even better to write your things after literature review to make your writings better. The wonderful thing about human beings is that our thoughts are always original, you can not write 3 sentences from your perception and come out as a copy paste of something else.
