OH GIANT OF AFRICA! WHY HAS THE MIGHTY FALLEN

Nigeria is referred to as the giant of Africa but with the happenings in my great country Nigeria, I fear if we are still that giant of Africa.
I love my country Nigeria because of our uniqueness and simplicity among us but am afraid because gradually that uniqueness is fading away with time and events by leaders who care about themselves rather than the masses.
Oh giant of Africa! Who is the saviour that will help us get back to our greatness.
Corruption has taken over our uprightness and we lay as though we were born out of corruptness and without conscience. Oh giant of Africa who will restore your glory and strength!
When education is no longer placed more value on but on politics and what one wants to take from the national cake of Nigeria. Oh giant of Africa! What has brought you too low.
The innocent die while the corrupt and evil people move so freely. The innocent die of things they know not of while the known guilty ones move about with security aids. Oh giant of Africa! It's time to return to sincerity and fairness! It's time to show love to the needy and be concerned about the well-being of less privileged in the society.
Foolishness and mediocrity is the celebration of the day while people of impact and creativity find no place of celebration and recognition. Oh giant of Africa! Who will restore our sense of recognition and right thinking.
Oh giant of Africa, it's time to return to the former land of promise and truth.
