Walk of Hope update : Participation in Lihok 2018 - Visayas Arts Festivals and Conferences, Negros Province, Philippines
LIHOK Visayas 2018 is a collective movement of all of Visayan and Visayas-based artists in celebrating the richness of our regions' artistic wealth through continuous involvement in art-making, art promotions, artistic collaborations and cultural programming.
Due to constant rain, @walkofhope's participation to Silliman University Free Walk-in Workshop as we have posted here before will have to be postponed as the venue is outdoors. As previously planned after this "supposed" event, the @walkofhope team and the creatives of Bayawan will go to Bacolod City for the LIHOK FESTIVALS 2018, commencing on Aug. 22-25. These festivals will showcase and promote the country's Visayan arts & culture and also to promote local products and crafts. These will be held in 3 locations through the Negros Province...this in coordination with the National Comission of Culture and Arts and Negros Museum.

Walk of hope - a charity with advocacies
Originally, @walkofhope is to bring Music and Arts to the underpriviledged Filipinos commencing in Visayas to Mindanao, culminating in Luzon. @flabbergast since April have been in Bayawan City TEACHING BAMBOO INNOVATIONS to create livelihood in the community.
Meeting with the Creatives of Kabankalan City after the Udyakan Festival, there is a need to create livelihoods for a group of scholar students. A workshop is being arranged for this.
Arts and culture
As with previous events, @flabbergast-art and #tataydagsa will be showcasing their bamboo crafts innovations, at the same time promote their indigenous musical instruments. Perfomance is not included this time, only on-the-spot performances for their audience.

The @walkofhope team have faith in the platform, with all the CREATIVES in the country, it is a great venue for their ADVOCACIES. In Bayawan City alone, there is a huge number of creatives, even coming from other parts of the country and abroad. Why they are all in Bayawan, something is brewing there that's for sure.
Steemit Philippines flyers will be given away during the festivals. All liquid payouts will be sent to @walkofhope account for future expenses.

They are very useful and eco-friendly...you should see the bambike i was using when i visited Bayawan. They do bamboo bikes as per order.
