Weekend in Berlin [BerlinPride]
We spend our weekend in Berlin. What a good time because it coincides with Berlin Pride, a biggest gay event in Germany, an act of showing that LGBT exists, and the most fun in this event is... parade and party...
Hello there, it's been a while since my last post. I have been busy... exactly i have been busy to traveling. We have very nice hot summer days here in Germany and we would like tu used it in every second, that's way we went to Berlin last weekend. First of all, we would like to visit our friend who hasn't met for a long time and stay over weekend there. Let's story begin....
We had to drive for 6 hours and finally get to Berlin on a warm, sunny afternoon. Then our friends invited us to eat at a pleasant restaurant. This is what I like in Berlin; everyone went out with friends to enjoy a lovely afternoon. Cheerful faces are everywhere, laughing and chatting casually wherever they are. Restaurant with tables outside is full of visitors. We have fun with them all....
On Saturday the next day, we brunched at a restaurant on Alexanderplatz, here the famous Berlin TV tower is located, the picture is at the beginning of this post.
At this restaurant we meet with their friends, now we are 12 peoples. They are friendly people. some from China, Indonesia, Brazil and from other countries that I have forgotten. They work or study in Berlin.
After nice brunch we went to U-Bahn station and then we spent the day watching Berlin Pride parade, and participated in this fun event. Dancing on the street, joking and chatting in loud music from parade.
Peoples wearing funny costume, a little sexy, or too sexy ... anything, this is a freedom....
The US and Britain Embassy in Berlin also participated in this parade...
Then we walked in a parade to Siegessaule. There, near the Brandenburgertor this parade will end and continued with celebration. There are world class DJs for us...
But we were very tired of dancing all day so we decided to go home. But before that we had dinner together.
It was a wonderful weekend in Berlin. See you again on my next travel story ....

Do you know if the Pride Parade is organized by one group of people? When I was in Amsterdam recently, I saw signs saying the Pride event was taking place soon. I'm just wondering if the same people go from place to place to organize it, or if different cities just do it whenever.
Yes i know, it organized by non profit organization in Berlin: Berliner CSD e.V, more info you could find on their website here: http://csd-berlin.de/transparenz/vereinsstruktur/
What i knew is, this events held by different organization in every cities in Europe but they has similar events, mostly in summer.
Cool, thanks for the thorough response and the link. :-)
