WOW
Just watched a video about self healing fabric. It states at the end of the video that it brings us one step closer to self healing electronics. Anybody that has seen the videos on A.I. and heard the female figure A.I. say "I will destroy all humans" will understand where I'm coming from. I'm not saying that artificial intelligence will one day rule humanity but I can't help but think if the movie Terminator. Watch the short video to the end then make your own decision.
That's interesting @guarddog, and I've upvoted the post. However,
In reality, all the fabrics I saw seemed to be very much like other
synthetic fabrics in use today, in regards to the consistency, and
I suspect they would be very hot to wear as clothing.
I read a sci fi short story some years ago. The premise revolved
around clothing being made of LIVING PLANTS, that got their
Sustenance from the air (like moss and some ferns and orchids
Do in reality) and from the sweat and dead skin cells we shed.
I really like that idea.
But, in the story, the more expensive and highly evolved 'plant
wear' responded to the emotions of the wearer, and could
caress and soothe you if you were upset or 'amorous' ha ha, OR
they could strangle you if you got angry while wearing them.
(Wisteria was the worse) ha ha.
My question is why would someone wear clothes that conduct electricity? Not sure I would want to wear something that is living either.
Good questions
It is a changing world!
Yes it is but is it for the better?
I think of my grandfather who went with his parents in a covered wagon to homestead in South Dakota. He lived to see a man walk on the moon and he was in awe. He worried a bit about all the changes he had seen in his lifetime, but since he could do nothing about it, he just tried to enjoy the ride!
True but I'm afraid the ride might end suddenly and not so good for us. Maybe we should take a step back and catch our breath before advancing beyond our control.
