The Unfaithful Mammon

Luke 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

Brethren, there are true riches in Christ Jesus. These are the riches of God's presence, peace and eternal life. The qualification of acquiring these riches is tied to our dealings with the riches of this world. How faithful are you with money? How truthful are you in handling public money? How faithful are you in paying tithe? God is not partial. He gives the best to people that handle the little well.

The servant with five talents increased it to ten and was faithful enough to bring all to the Master. That was his qualification to handle many things (Matt.25:14-25). The servant who hide his talent was termed wicked. Lack of faithfulness is seen as wickedness before God. The Almighty God expects us to be faithful in all our dealings on earth.

Abba Father, thank you for your word today. Please forgive us for all our unfaithfulness and grant us the grace to be faithful in all things, in Jesus name. Amen.
