How very true this is. I tried to get people to join Steemit and after a few months of frustration (and low payouts during the bullmarket) they gave up and I doubt they will be back.

However, if I can get some extra Steem to buy them a Steem Monser starter pack. They might not stick around forever, but it will get them reinterested in the blockchain and using it again (not that they will care), but I think it can be a great gateway into crypto and blockchain as you're saying without them being interested in either.
