Great evening playing pool, discussing football (kids and the real deal) and of course the obliged Karmeliet!
Yah I realize I must have sounded like an ignorant north american not knowing the difference between Netherlands and Belgium (and Holland for that matter) Your pic just brought me down memory lane when I was drinking Belgian beer in Delft and The Hague.
Anyhow, I love the beer from that greater region and am tasting vicariously through your pictures.
No prob Zeke! But there is a big difference between both countries. Before Belgium was born it was occupied by the Dutch. So with this history in mind, The Netherlands are always are opponents :). Let's call it a friendly rivalry!
And concerning beer, we keep on telling that there is no beer made in the Netherlands :).
But believe it or not, but I do appreciate a Bud once in a while :)
Did live for 5 months in the States!
We say the same about Molson products here. Often, when an american tries to sound worldly, they tell me they order a Molson when they are available in bars. Wins them no points in my book because they are probably talking about Molson Export which is shite.....and why we export it all.
